Web Advertising
My friend just started a website for bikers. It is an online classifieds for used motorcycles. It’s somewhat like Craigslist but the only difference is the website specializes on Motorcycles and motorcycle accessories only.
He himself is a biker, he owns more than three motorcycles including a KTM adventure (which I really admire). Other than loving his motorcycles and taking it one at a time on his road trips all over U.S., my friend is also a shrewd businessman. He seems to have a Midas touch in every business he starts.
An idea of developing an online classifieds for used motorcycles came to his mind. He knows a lot about motorcycles but having a web base business seems a challenge to him.
We did some research on web advertising, including the Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Let me tell you folks, it doesn’t come cheap at all. The SEO companies will lay down plans on how they will make your website number 1 in Google or Yahoo or any search engine. The promise of visibility in the web seems really enticing, the only problem is the high cost. Your $15,000.00 can disappear in less than two months.
But I should thank the weblogs and personal e-mail invitations (which sometimes mistakenly called “spamming”). They saved us a lot of money. Its hard work and time consuming but you learn a lot a long the way.
After 5 months, the website, www.marksmotos.com has been attracting a lot of sellers and buyers. Our hits jumped significantly during the past two months.
The website is still a toddler, but we are sure glad to know that there are other options rather than paying marketing and advertising companies thousands of dollars just to get a small space in the web.

KTM still the leader in motorcycle technology
If you ask anyone in any motorcycle off-road competition and racing, what is the best bike to have, KTM brand will surely emerge.
This giant name began its roots in Austria on 1934. It started as a metal shop in Mattighofen by an Austrian engineer Hans Trunkenpolz. Few years later, a businessman, Ernst Kronreif decided to invest in the company creating the name KTM, which stands for Kronreif, Trunkenpolz, Mattighofen.
From their humble beginning, as a metal working shop, KTM became the leader in motorcycle technology. It’s the first company to manufacture liquid-cooled four-stroke motorcycle engine for off-road. Then on 1986 KTM became first in including both front and rear disc brakes on an off-road motorcycle. And as we all know, they were the first to offer hydraulic clutch mechanisms on all models of motorcycles.
Being an ingenious company, KTM brand attracted a lot of motorcycle enthusiasts and adventure seekers. KTM is a very famous name in motor sports and road racing.
With dependable, resilient, heavy-duty bike backed up with a good name and superb after sale service, a new KTM bike like, KTM 950 Adventure, KTM 525 SMK Supermoto, KTM 525 E/XC racing 4-stroke, KTM 400 E/XC racing 4-stroke don’t come cheap.
But, there is good news! There is a website formed by geniuses called http://marksmotos.com. You can find dependable used KTM at a reasonable price. Marksmotos.com is the fastest growing online classifieds for motorcycles and adventure seekers. The website is free from annoying pop-ups and advertisements. It is monitored daily by a motorcycle connoisseur himself. He owns 2006 KTM 950 Adventure whom he took to travel from San Francisco to Florida last December 05.
If you have queries about your KTM, you just e-mail the administrator. It’s one of the site’s advantages over other online motorcycle classifieds. Whether you are buying or selling your KTM, a fellow biker will be able to help you out in the website for FREE.

Free online classifieds for motorcycles and adventure enthusiasts
Free online classifieds for motorcycles and adventure enthusiasts
A lot of websites charges you for posting your motorcycle for sale. Some of them charge an arm and a leg. They will not tell you the fee until you're done posting your ad. It's really a big astonishment after you've down loaded your bikes' pics.
I don't seem to understand, don't they get it. The reason why you are selling the bike is because you don't have money. Well I know for some people there are other reasons but the major one is having no money. So, that only means some of these websites are really taking advantage of most sellers.
They also make you believe that you will actually get a lot of inquiries (which don't normally happen).
So, in order to help sellers and buyers, www.marksmotos.com was born.
You can post your bike for sale like, Harley, BMW, KLR, KTM, Honda, Suzuki and Buell. Whether it's dirt bike or custom bike, posting is free. You can upload up to 4 colored pictures without a single penny. To top it all, your ad will stay there for 45 days. If after 45 days, no sale was made, you can renew your ad again. That's SIMPLE. It's a user friendly site so even a person who was not listening to his teacher during computer lesson, can actually follow simple instructions on how to post his bike.
If you're a buyer, the website is free from pop-ups and annoying advertisements, so you can actually concentrate on browsing.
So, whether your are selling your bike or just want to buy one, visit, www.marksmotos.com and you will find out what I've written above are true.

The "Scarver" BMW F650 CS Check it at marksmotos.com
This is a machine that can be a good first bike for the new rider. It is small with seat height of only 780 mm. Perfect for 5'7 or 5'10. Your feet are parted on the ground when stopped. The riding position is relaxed with little body weight being taken through the arms. The generously padded wide seat gives good support as well.
It is light, fast (125 mph) and can give you 60-70 mpg on the highway. This baby is powered by a single cylinder 4-stroke motor.
Starting this bike when it's cold takes a couple of tries but when it warmed up, it runs flawlessly. Good urban ride and truly a "chick magnet".
The BMW Marketing department dubbed this bike, "The Scarver". It’s made to mainly attract the youth market. I guess it did not make a mistake for targeting the right customer.
When bought used, the price ranges from a low of $3,500 to a high of $6,900. When new it's about $13,700.
I'm not trying to sell you one. I'm just sharing some of the best characteristics of this bike. If you want to get one, you can check at www.marksmotos.com And if you already have one, share your experience in this blog.
